Crop or add borders?

A different frame shape always changes the relationship between the artwork and its edges.

Fit preserves the original composition

Fit scales the image so every edge remains visible. When the target ratio is different, white borders fill the extra space. Use this for signatures, typography or artwork that must remain complete.

Fill lets you position each crop

Fill scales the image until the target frame is covered. It starts centered; horizontal and vertical position controls let you adjust each artwork and ratio independently. Cropping can remove a signature, border or subject near an edge.

Mark a protected rectangle around a signature, text or subject. If any selected crop cuts that rectangle, packaging stops. Move the crop or switch that ratio to Fit. This is a manual composition aid, not automatic face detection or a guarantee that every important detail has been marked.

Test with the same image

Open the preview, choose an image, select a ratio, then switch between Fit and Fill. Compare the edges before exporting. In the full edition, use Selected artwork to review every image and check each composition. Saved project JSON restores settings after you reselect originals; changed source contents reset saved crop choices and all restored files require a fresh review.

Transparency and print color

Outputs are JPEGs, so transparent regions become white. Browser canvas conversion also means the tool does not promise to retain an embedded source color profile. Request a proof from your printer when color matters.
